The Geoffrey Roberts Award is an annual travel award worth £3,000 (about $6,000) made to someone of any age and nationality who can convince the judges that their proposed journey will make a positive difference to the worlds of food and/or drink.

Applicants for the Geoffrey Roberts Award 2009 should complete the online application form and email it to geoffreyrobertsa@aol.com before 31 March 2009.

A winner will be chosen before the end of May 2009 by a distinguished panel of judges. Please complete all parts of the form, including an outline of travel plans and budget in as much detail as possible.

Applications are welcome from anyone of any age and experience, no matter where in the world they are located. Preference will be given to applicants whose schemes involve gaining experience that will be of value not only to the applicants themselves.
